It looks like the warm Summer weather will soon be ending. Ordinarily, I'm ready for Fall but this Summer was not as hot and humid for the most part so I am not ready for it to end. It also means the Mustang will soon be parked more than driven. I do not like to drive it in rain, snow and ice for obvious reasons, it doesn't handle well on wet, slippery roads. I didn't buy it for those road conditions so it isn't a big deal. But I will miss driving the car - it is so much fun on the back country roads around my house. Devin loves to ride in it too because he can sit in the front seat; it has an air bag sensor for anyone under 80 lbs, the air bag is disengaged.
I got the Mustang for my 40th birthday. Many said it was a mid-life crisis decision. I really do not agree...I had recently gotten injured from my bike and could no longer train for races and could not train my dogs so I was totally and completely depressed and bored. I needed a little excitement to get me through the Fall.
It is currently pouring so I will not be taking the Mustang up to the agility building for my lessons, will have to drive our SUV. But since it is thundering, I doubt I will take my dogs with me. The building is like a tent and the sound gets magnified. Gusto doesn't care about the sound but not sure about Robbie.
Just a side note: the Mustang is not a gas hog, I got the V6. I already felt sort of silly getting a bright, red Stang - it is so impractical and I am usually a very practical person. I decided I would be a little frugal by buying theV6. I get 30 on the highway and around town, I average 23. For a car that has over 200 horses under the hood, that isn't bad AND the car did not cost and arm and a leg. And yes - it has a manual transmission, wouldn't buy it any other way.
